Banking veterans Carlo R. Pascetta and David P. Van Steyn join Bank in VP roles
Carteret, NJ – URSB, Carteret’s hometown bank with over 100 years of outstanding personalized service and commitment to the community, has hired two executives to the Bank’s senior management team. Carlo R. Pascetta has joined URSB as Vice President – Lending, CRA Officer, while David P. Van Steyn is the Bank’s new Vice President – Chief Risk Officer.
Mr. Van Steyn brings over ten years of experience in the banking sector, including tenure as a Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he oversaw all operations including lending, deposits, accounting, compliance and BSA issues. He also was responsible for developing and executing overall strategic direction.
Mr. Van Steyn also has experience establishing risk assessment best practices, such as developing plans to mitigate or eliminate risks. This includes conducting stress tests and advising Boards of Directors on financial and operational risk management and strategies. A resident of Rockaway, NJ, he earned a BS in Business Administration from Montclair State University, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics.
As Vice President – Lending, CRA Officer, Carlo R. Pascetta brings over 45 years of banking experience, specializing in auditing and lending. His proficiencies include real estate-related loan originations, underwriting, servicing, residential development and credit management.
Mr. Pascetta has developed and implemented Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) lending strategies and policy, and has provided loans for approval, making recommendations for terms and conditions on loans to Boards of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University, and a Standard Banking Certification from the American Institute of Banking. He currently resides in East Brunswick, NJ.
