SUMMARY:  Provide personalized banking services ensuring the highest level of quality service is provided to current and prospective customers. Responsible for a variety of duties relating to the opening and processing of new accounts; establishing and maintaining customer relationships; assess customer needs and effectively sell appropriate bank products and services.  Other responsibilities include the accurate processing of routine financial transactions for banking customers, preparing and maintaining various reports, records and files while ensuring operational integrity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide personalized banking services to current and prospective customers, consistently seeking to expand customer satisfaction and retention and provide the highest level quality customer service
  • Open new personal, business and non-personal accounts and perform maintenance on existing accounts as requested. Follow established Bank policies and procedures which includes the completion and verification of the business account profile, including the Bank Secrecy Act site visit as in policy guidelines
  • Perform account maintenance duties for customers (address changes, account title changes, etc.)
  • Input CIP Exceptions Log
  • Input BSA Event Driven Trigger Log
  • Facilitate customer satisfaction and retention by successfully researching and resolving customer issues and inquiries
  • Perform transactional duties accurately to avoid errors, including advanced and complex transactions, handling special requests and investigating discrepancies in accordance with Bank policies and procedures
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies when assisting customers in obtaining any account information
  • Accurately complete daily UB proof.  Investigate any differences with supervisor
  • Assist with reconciliation of ATM daily and assure proper equipment operation
  • Ensure all duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with established Bank procedures and regulations
  • Assist with reconciliation of coin machine daily, ability to change coin bags, maintain cleanliness to ensure proper equipment operation
  • Daily use of Cash Recycler to include maintenance as needed and proof as designated
  • Other duties assigned by Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager

  • The ability to make sound decisions.  This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank’s exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions
  • This position requires a perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to Bank needs, customer and employee goodwill, and the public image
  • Familiar with retail banking regulations and UB roles and responsibilities relating to each

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Previous CSR / teller experience preferred but not required.
