Experienced Community Leader Adds Expertise and Prominence to Board of Local Bank

Carteret, NJ – URSB, Carteret’s hometown bank with an outstanding 100-year reputation for personalized service and commitment to the community, has announced that Daniel Reiman, Mayor of Carteret, is the bank’s newest member on the Board of Directors.

First elected as Mayor in 2002, Mayor Daniel Reiman was the youngest person to hold the role in Carteret’s history; he subsequently went on to be elected for five consecutive terms. In the past, he has served as a Borough Councilman and Planning Board member among other notable civic duties.

“I am pleased to join the board of URSB, which has been an institution in the Carteret community and surrounding area for over 100 years. My first banking experience as a child was opening a savings account at URSB and I am proud to say 30 years later I’m still a customer,” said Mayor Reiman. “I look forward to working with Ken Totten, our President/CEO & Chairman, the board members and staff to help URSB continue to grow and serve the needs of our growing communities.”

“URSB is honored to have Mayor Reiman join our Board of Directors,” added Kenneth R. Totten, President/CEO & Chairman of URSB. “His proven community involvement and dedication to serving local residents align with URSB’s vision for a better Carteret.”

In addition to his role as Mayor, Reiman also belongs to numerous civic, professional and volunteer associations including the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and the Carteret Planning Board. He also serves on the Board of Directors for D.A.R.E. N.J. and is a trustee to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #97 health benefits fund.
